On June 27, 2023, the China National Textile and Apparel Council organized a "soft/elastic" joint event jointly undertaken by Donghua University,NanoFiltech The project appraisal meeting of the key technology and application of industrialization of ceramic microfiber materials, the appraisal committee believes that the project results have reached the international advanced level.

 

 

The research results of the project are introduced as follows:

1. Project research background

Due to its advantages of high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, ceramic fiber has become a key high-temperature insulation material in the fields of aerospace, national defense, energy and environment. In recent years, the ceramic fiber industry has developed rapidly, and my country has listed it as a high-end high-performance material for major development. However, conventional ceramic fiber preparation methods such as dry spinning, melt blowing, centrifugal spinning, etc., usually have a fiber diameter of more than 5 μm, large pore size, and low porosity, making it difficult to improve the thermal insulation performance of ceramic fiber materials. On the contrary, when the fiber diameter is less than 0.5 μm, the material has the characteristics of small pore size and high porosity, showing great application potential in fields such as high temperature insulation.

Electrospinning is the main method for preparing ceramic ultrafine fibers, but its slow production speed and low conversion rate of hybrid fibers make it difficult to carry out large-scale production and cannot be directly processed into flake materials, which greatly hinders the development of this method. Practical application of technology. Therefore, this project has developed a key technology for the industrialization of one-step preparation of soft/elastic ceramic ultrafine fiber materials, and successfully achieved a substantial increase in the mechanical properties and output of ceramic fiber materials.

 

 

2. Main innovation points of the project

1)Established a high-efficiency spinning theoretical system with a low-arc liquid surface, invented a multi-jet spinning technology based on a wide inner diameter nozzle, and greatly improved the production speed of ultra-fine fibers.

2)A polymer/inorganic colloidal spinning solution formula with low molecular weight and low polymer content has been developed to achieve high-efficiency conversion of hybrid fibers with high inorganic components.

3)Invented the crimping fiber spinning jet with high inorganic component content and its three-dimensional entanglement assembly technology, and realized the one-step forming of three-dimensional network structure crimped fiber flakes.

4)The rapid calcination molding technology of soft/elastic ceramic ultrafine fiber flakes has been developed, which endows ceramic fiber flakes with excellent flexibility and superelasticity.

 

3. Project industrialization and application

The project integrates and develops a complete set of production equipment for ultrafine fibers, builds a demonstration production line for ultrafine fibers with independent intellectual property rights, realizes efficient and large-scale production of ultrafine fibers, promotes the upgrading of my country's ceramic fiber industry structure, and improves the entire industry The level of development has enhanced international competitiveness. The soft/elastic ceramic microfiber materials and fire insulation equipment developed by the project have been successfully used in emergency rescue, national defense, aerospace and other fields, and have been well received by users.

4. Brief introduction of the project completion unit
